Stefan Sagmeister was born on the 6th August 1962 in Austria. His work as a graphic designer and typographer is based in New York.
Stefan pours his heart and soul into every piece of work with his eye-catching album covers for the Rolling Stones and Lou Reed. His work is of the moment and timeless, with his crazy attention to the smallest details makes his work something new every time you look at it.
There is a sense of humour on the surfaces of his designs but Stefan is very serious about his work. 'his intimate approach and sincere thoughtfulness elevate his design.'
His style is striking and humorous but in such an unsettling way that could be seen as unacceptable. He uses his strength and ability to come up with original and stunning ideas.
Stefan says that the process to his designs is if it helps people or delights them its a good design and it works!
I think Stefan's designs are interesting but very strange. If he would go to the extent of carving his own body, he must love his work and puts everything he can into it.

David Carson
David Carson was born on September 8th 1954 and is an American graphic designer. He is known for his typography and innovative magazine designs.
His rules for design are always broken in his work, he would let the typed lines run into each other, be upside down and many more things you wouldn't normally see like he would make the type and image so indistinguishable on the page.
David Carson has never believed that you must know the rules to be able to break them.
He is not afraid to use blurred images, and he also uses a lot of bright colour and emotion in his work. He has and eye for symmetry and likes using clean lines to make his work simplistic.

David likes to go crazy with typography and push it to the limits, his text sometimes has a handwritten quality, then other times a strict typewriter font.
I love David's work its so interesting to look at and try and work out what is going on. Sometimes you cant even understand it and that's why its great.

His work is both brilliant and crazy in his modernist style.
